The Best Movies From Pixar

July 8th, 2009

by Jeffery B Marshall

Pixar, a computer animated motion picture studio, has brought us films that are beloved by children and adults alike. Pixar has made only 10 films altogether but each of them has been a profit-making and critical victory. The studio has earned twenty-two Academy Awards, four Golden Globes and three Grammy’s, making it one of the most critically applauded movie studios ever.

Pixar’s triumph begins in the year 1995 with “Toy Story”. This delightful motion picture follows the life of Woody, the toy cowboy as he competes with “Buzz Lightyear” as the pet toy. “Toy Story 2″, the sequel, came out in 1999.

In the middle of the two “Toy Story” movies came ” A Bug’s Life” from 1998. The chronicle of a incredibly strong-minded ant named Flik and his battle to prevent some ravenous and ferocious grasshoppers from stealing the food that the ant colony worked hard to amass.

The things that go bump in the night were the stars of the enjoyable and unforgettable tale, “Monsters, Inc.” from the year 2001. This is the tale of a group of amiable monsters and how they try to protect a charming little girl.

The most commercially successful Pixar film to date came out in 2003. “Finding Nemo” grossed in excess of $800 million worldwide. “Finding Nemo” is a amusing parable about a little clown fish that gets separated from his dad and taken away to settle in an aquarium in a dentist’s office. The venture begins when Nemo disappears and his father travels the ocean to find him.

Superhero’s at their finest hour describes the great motion picture “The Incredibles” from the year 2004. Mr. and Mrs. Parr, formerly known as Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl try to find contentment in the suburbs by raising a family and having common jobs under the government protection program. Can Elastigirl and the rest of the Incredible clan save Mr. Incredible when he is overwhelmed by the enticement of his past life.

Lightning McQueen, a red racecar, learns about being happy and triumphant from the town cars of Radiator Springs in the movie “Cars” from 2006. Remy the rat follows his dreams of being a chef in a fine French restaurant in “Ratatouille” from 2007, and the very last robot left inhabiting the earth searches for love in “Wall-E” from 2008.

And now there is what is predicted to be the most excellent Pixar movie yet. “Up” is a movie about lifelong dreams and following your dreams no matter your age, as an elderly man makes his dreams come true with resolve and willpower.

WoW Engineering Guide

June 15th, 2009

by Seth Symonds

Of the 14 professions in WoW, Engineering is one that is of high value in the end game. In this guide I’m going to give you the basics of this profession as well as share some tips and tricks for making large sums of gold with this profession.

Any of the classes in WoW can learn to become Engineers. Out of all the classes, I believe that the Hunter’s are most suited to being Engineers as they rely on items Engineers produce - items such as bullets, arrows, and guns.

Gnomes are the only race that receive a bonus from Engineering. While this might help you at lower levels, by the time you have a high level this advantage would have cancelled itself out.

Mining is probably the most appropriate gathering profession to go with Engineering so make sure you pick this when you start. To find both the Mining and Engineering trainers ask the guard as you are leaving the newbie zone.

The one tool I recommend you make as soon as you can (you’ll need to have a skill level of 450) is a Gnomish Army Knife. You can make this knife regardless of your players’ level so work on your engineering and make it ASAP - this tool has a heap of extremely useful applications.

The reason I suggested that you choose Mining as your gathering profession is because to improve your Engineering skill you need a heap of metal. The other benefit to being a miner is that you will also be able to make a heap of gold as Mining is one of the most lucrative professions in WoW.

A potential downside to becoming an Engineer is that you won’t be able to sell all of the items you create to just anyone. Some items need Engineering skills to use. That’s not to say you can’t make a killing with engineering items however, some items can sell for mega bucks.

This article has hopefully provided you with some useful suggestions to consider if you are an Engineer. For more information about how to level and Engineer or other aspects of World of Warcraft in general, visit the links listed below.
