When Did You Last Decorate Your Bathroom or Kitchen?

June 29th, 2009

by Marion Jones

For people who seem to have it all or for the people who are bored with their lifestyle, there are several things that they can do to spruce-up their lives. Maybe one of the best ways though is to start redecorating one’s house. Some of the first places you should consider redecorating are your bathroom and kitchen.

These are usually the most ignored and yet, most used rooms in the entire house. Think about it, have you redecorated at least even one of these rooms within the past few years? The answer is probably “no”, in which case think back to the last time you even looked closely at your bathroom or kitchen other than to Spring clean them.

More than likely, if you noticed anything at all, you put the notion off until a future date when you would be able to devote more time to refurbishing your bathroom or kitchen, although at that time, the place probably didn’t look as bad as it does now, after all, the years soon add up and even though you’ve been keeping it spotlessly clean you can’t stop the slow march of time.

The chances are that if you were to take a closer look now, you’ll find that the curtains are looking a might shabby and ragged around the edges, as are the bathroom rugs. And let’s not even talk about the soap dish. It is quite true that they don’t make them like they used to, and with very good reason too!

So, you should do yourself a favour and throw out all that unused junk in the bathroom and get yourself some new stuff - you will be astonished at what lovely things you can find nowadays. Besides, you’ve probably been eyeing that beautiful new bathroom set you noticed in the mall for some time, so at the very least now you will have a good reason to go out and treat yourself.

And while you’re about it, don’t forget to buy that lovely new spice rack you saw for the kitchen and a few mats that can be used in either room. Ideally, they should be resistant to such everyday accidents like water spillage, soap, oil grease and all the other things that somehow seem to become embedded in your carpets.

However, if you’re looking for some new ideas on decorating your bathroom or your kitchen, there are a number of resources where you can get your inspiration from. The best I’ve found are the catalogues you can peruse to your heart’s content.

With all these options, you can even substitute something that is less expensive for the things you want in the catalogues. This is the best method to get your decorating projects started and to keep yourself pleasantly busy for some while and to transform your long suffering bathroom and kitchen into brand new, glitzy areas.

Remodeling Bathrooms

June 20th, 2009

by Michael James

So, you have decided to remodel your bathroom, you have some bathroom remodeling ideas and now and you are looking for that perfect bathroom design. You know the one you are looking for. It has got to be just right for you and it has to last for years with grace. The colours must not clash, and you must be able to bear the sight of it day after day from when you finish it for many years to come.

The perfect bathroom design should include every new bathroom gadget known to man and you should still have enough room to move around without bumping your head or your elbow on some protruding edge. Your perfect bathroom design should also pass the test of time and still look as charming as when you first remodelled it. Its not too much to ask really, only a mini miracle on the scale of feeding the 5,000.

OK, let’s be completely honest about it, they are the kind of bathroom remodeling ideas that everyone is looking for, but which no-one has yet been able to implement. Or at least not to their full satisfaction. Therefore, there is really only one thing you can to do, and that is to cut corners here and there on your perfect bathroom design. It might become slightly imperfect but at least you will still have almost all of your bathroom remodeling ideas from your original design.

Ofttimes, you may find that you have to sacrifice some great bathroom remodeling ideas for the sake of practicality, but don’t worry about that, it can also be incorporated into your bathroom design without too much of a problem. And most likely you will not even notice that much of a difference, unless of course you wanted to move the bath clear across to the other side of the bathroom, but can’t due to logistical reasons.

In which case the whole of your bathroom remodeling ideas may need to be reviewed. Having said that, there’s really not too much that can go that wrong if you stay with a fairly simple bathroom design. One that is easy to implement and is also easy on the wallet. Something else that you may want to think about is simple maintenance.

Even a very large bathroom should be easily maintainable. This need not be anything complicated and can even be something as easy as getting a small bathroom shelf on which you can put a number of your everyday items like soap, shampoo, sponge etc..

For sure, you could always go to the other extreme by taking away all your old junk and swapping them with modern, easy to clean gadgets instead.

The bathroom remodelling ideas are all yours and it really depends on what kind of bathroom remodelling ideas you had within yourself when you first started your quest for the perfect bathroom design.

But remember that once you have started redecorating it is hard to stop. So, check out all your options first and then implement bathroom remodeling ideas in a way that will bring you closest to fulfilling those bathroom remodeling ideas you have for the perfect bathroom design.

Learn about Squeeze Pages and Their Benefits

March 21st, 2009

by James T Maxwell

First, I should say that there’s some debate about what a squeeze page is. However, it’s generally understood that a squeeze page is a page with the goal of getting only two things: the collection of prospects’ personal information and permission to contact them later.

You might be saying that there are other ways to go about getting those things and that might be true. But squeeze pages do a little something extra while getting that information out of prospectsthey squeeze in some advertisement.

Squeeze pages and their uses

Squeeze pages are designed especially for these purposes. Doing any of the above things is difficult, but squeeze pages make accomplishing them a lot easier. The added bonus is that they contribute to advertising.

When it comes down to it, squeeze pages act as an extension to prospects and customers. That’s what they’re designed to be. If they function like they’re supposed to, they can be your secret marketing weapon.

Information collection

The first steps to getting prospects and turning prospects into customers is to know who they are. You can do this by treating your squeeze page as a way to easily collect that information. And what are some ways that you can do this? Well, you could make some offers to your prospects. What can you give away for free? Reports? Software? Find out what your prospects value and ask them for their information in exchange for your products.

What to ask for

Ask yourself what you value when researching prospects. Do

Names

Email addresses

Information uses

After you’ve gathered what you want from your prospects, you’ll probably want to do as much as you can with it so that the orders will come flooding in. The most common sense approach is to use the information with your marketing efforts.

The thing to remember about squeeze pages is that they act as crossroads. They’re meant to help your prospects decide to stay on your website and buy products.

When squeeze pages are optimized, a large amount of traffic visits them and business owners are knee-deep in prospects’ information. If you’re using squeeze pages, that means that you’re sitting on a pile of valuable information and that you’ll be able to study subscriber and buyer habits. You’ll also have a new advertising avenue.

Squeeze pages are where leads are born.

That being said, you have to be willing to put your fair share into making them work. Squeeze pages don’t function by themselves.

If prospects leave without giving you that information, the success of your squeeze page is questionable. It’s all about opening doors to communication, building relationships with people who will then buy your product and turn into full customers.

If you’re turned off by the work I just mentioned, don’t be. The bulk of your marketing and research can be done at the same time you create your squeeze pages. They save you time and money that way.

Designing an appropriate squeeze page can be the first way you can appeal to your prospects, so get on it!
