Mobile Phones With Free TV

July 11th, 2009

by Nile Vaugn

During the last few years mobile phone prices have fallen, whilst the cost of monthly plans offered by the mobile phone networks has remained pretty well the same (although you now get more free inclusive minutes and messages). This means that the cost of a cell phone is comparatively lower than it was when compared against the total value of the phone contract. At one time mobile phone retailers would provide free handsets by way of an incentive for customers to take out a contract. In fact, many would actually charge a fee for the mobile phone on top of the price of the contract. Mobile phones were very expensive, and often being considered a premium product or status symbol. These days with increasingly widespread use and resulting economies of scale even the best cell phones can be obtained cheaply.

Ironically this presents a bit of a problem for mobile retailers who are trying to market mobile phone deals in terms of incentives offered to the consumer. The result has been an increase in the number of deals with incentives on offer, for example cell phones with a free broadband dongle, cell phones with fee TV sets, mobile phones with automatic cash-back, and especially mobile phones with free laptops.

televisions are one of the newer incentives added to the range of gifts to be bundled with cellphones. Just a few years ago, the thought of getting a free 32″ television free with a mobile phone would have been outlandish. But, we have seen considerable changes to the market for televisions that make these deals possible.

Television Technology has transformed dramatically during the last one or two years with the dominance of HD and LCD television sets, and the move toward digital transmission. The result is that large numbers of consumers have updated their old television sets. Increases in sales have caused rapid cost reductions of LCD television sets, which were extremely costly when they were first released.

This increase in demand for new LCD tv sets, coupled with their comparatively low price has made them an attractive inducement for potential mobile phone customers. There are numerous people thinking about upgrading their television to a more recent model. If one of these people is in the market for a new cellphone and notices one of these mobile phone free television deals it can be a great incentive to buy.

As with any purchase, one should know the actual value of what you are getting, so, take time to compare the cost of other mobile phone free tv deals to ensure the value of the tv you are being offered is comparable to the value of other freebies available. In particular look at the automatic cash back deals on offer, then see how much you are able to buy a television system for from a cheap online retailer. You may find that that you could get an even better offer by taking cashback from the store and buying the television separately.

How To Get A Great Laptop Computer At The Cheapest Price

June 26th, 2009

by Bob Randalph

Once you decide to purchase a laptop computer your initial instinct may be to rush out the door to the nearest store and see what they have on sale. Once you get there you may have another instinct to purchase the one that has the greatest discount, thinking you are buying smart and saving as much money as possible. Yet, this is the worst thing you can do for yourself.

If you want the best laptop for the best possible price, you will have to slow it down and think in a more strategic manner. In fact, you don’t want price to be your deciding factor at all.

Despite your familiarity with the computer market or how much you think you know, your first step is to use the internet for market research. You want to know what is being offered, what the newest features are, and how well different features or brands tend to work.

Consumer and professional reviews should be a part of your research. After you are familiar with what is being offered in the market use these reviews to determine whether different features really perform well or not. Consumers are the most helpful as they have already tried the product out at home and will give their firsthand opinions.

You are essentially sorting out the best from all the rest at this point, regardless of how much their typically retail for. You should have a few that catch your interest and they may be from different price ranges.

The mini laptop should also be considered. They are newer on the market but since they are lighter weight and more compact you may prefer them.

At this point you will have at least a couple specific computers that you are really interested in, and it’s time to start thinking about the price tags. Even really expensive models can usually be found at reasonable sale prices if you put in some effort looking for the deals.

If you have time to really shop around your chances of getting the best computer at a really low price are greater. Don’t limit your selection. You want to look through online retailers as well as local stores. Get the usual retail price for the models you are interested in so you will be able to acknowledge the exceptional buying price when you come across it.

If you cannot find your ideal model within your budget, then find a model that is very similar. You may have to give up a feature that is less important to you in order to find a reasonably priced model that has what is most important to you.

The last tip is not to limit your selection to discount stores or those that are typically known for having the lowest prices. You would be quite surprised how many of these stores do not actually have the best prices for a laptop computer. If you are really looking for the best deal you want to look at stores that may even have the highest prices most of the time, as they are often the same stores that have the best sales and deliver the best deals.

Cell Phone Screen Protectors - Tips For Protecting Your Cell Phone

June 7th, 2009

by John Jacobi

Cell phone screen protectors are thin pieces of plastic that protects your electronic device from everyday wear and tear. You probably bought your phone because of the functionality and overall looks, so why not invest in a protector that allows you to keep your phone looking like new. As you have noticed with your old cell phones, they are not worth much money if you would try to sell them. When using a screen size or full size protector, your phone will still look like new when you’re done with it, and it will let you sell your phone for a decent price.

Choose a screen protector that has a lifetime warranty. There is a variety of product in the market that will extend the life of your phone and last a very long time. It is not a good idea to buy protectors that come in bargain packs of 5, 10, even 20; these items are sold as multiples because they will wear out quickly.

Don’t waste your money on these. Go directly to the companies who design ultralight clear film designed specifically for your device whether it be a LG cell phone, or a SanDisk media player. These types of protective film offer better coverage, and don’t leave scratches and marks if you decide to take the film off.

The benefits of cell phone screen protectors are endless and they are essential if your looking to keep your device looking good for the life of the phone. It doesn’t matter what precautions you take when trying to protect your cell phone from scratches and general wearing out process, it will happen much fast if you do not use some sort of screen or full body protector.

While you can never keep your phone 100% damage free, investing in a cell phone screen protector is a tremendous step to really taking care of your phone. You want a protector that will last a long time, envelope the whole phone without getting in the way, and do what you buy it for- to keep the value of your phone from plummeting every time you drop it. Since an ultralight clear film meets all of these requirements, it is clearly the best choice of screen protector out there.

Free Ringtones

March 28th, 2009

by Frank Feelwell

Uploading ringtones for your iPhone is pretty easy despite the buzz about different methods on how to. You don’t have to pay at all to add music on your phone, you simply have to follow these steps carefully as to not be one of those who pay extra dollars on iTunes. Keep in mind that you have to have a Jailbreak to do the following.

An iPhone’s iPod-compatible ringtone could be grabbed and put into the iPhone/Library/Ringtones directory using SSH/FIle transfer. If the iPhone’s iPod supports these files, such as MP3s, M4As and AACs, it will work into your iPhone instantly. iFuntastic is also done with the same process as SSH/File Transfer.

Another is iBrickr, which is compatible with Windows. It is the one that transcodes sound files into different formats that you like. For instance, you found a WAV format file from 1999 and you want to upload it on your phone. With the use of iBrickr, the WAV file could be converted into something that will be recognized by your iPhone.

Sendsong, which is popular for those who have iPods, assists you in getting a ringtone by copying a song from your iPod and putting it into the Ringtones folder of your phone. AppTapp is needed for you to install the Sendsong.

There are also options that you could choose from without the use of Jailbreak. You could choose between iTunes Music Store and Rogue Amoeba’s MakeiPhone Ringtone. The latter is compatible with Ma and uses iTunes 7.4 and iTunes 7.4.1. With the help of either of these two, you could manually place your AAC files into the Ringtone folder.

A new format, introduced by Apple, is the M4R. It is only the renamed version of the AAC but it works well into your phones. Just get any music file, MP3 or WAV format will do, then place it in your iTunes. Select the music file that you want to put on your phone, convert it to AAC and rename it into .m4r. It will easily be seen on your iTunes music folder and now, it is an instant ringtone.

It will be an advantage for you if most of your ringtones are in AAC format. You’ll have to convert them yourself into .m4r format. If you have others that are most used namely the mp3 and ogg, convert them into AAC, then rename again into .m4r and finding free ringtones for your iPhone will always be a piece of cake.
